Changing Education Paradigms

Sir Ken Robinson’s presentations on creativity and schooling have been well viewed by most of the groups I work with, and have provided an excellent stimulus for internal staff discussions and professional learning activity. Here’s one that is more recent and uses an adapted version of one of Sir Ken’s presentations to the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) with a very cleverly created animated illustration of his talk.

Titled Changing education paradigms, the presentation provides a brief overview of the historical development of our education system, and pesents the context for change. It’s very clever, very informative, and provides an excellent example of yet another form of creative communication strategy that could be adopted in schools that already have access to video and stop-motion editing software. This is just the latest in a series of animates created by the RSA.
